Just south of the nation's capital in Hampton, Virginia, Chayse traveled half way across the country to face the countries top 58 athletes in the last
level 10 meet of the season, the JO Nationals. Arriving late Wednesday, training on Thursday and Friday, Chayse was ready to get her chance to hit
the equipment in the last session on Saturday where she started on the floor. Hitting each of her passes, Chayse started the day with a 9.600 that held
the first spot for the first rotation, but would eventually slip to 9th by the end of the session. On to the vault where Chayse introduced her new Yerchenko
full and half that scored a monster 9.800! Only one other athlete would be able to top that score leaving Chayse with a silver medal. Even with a mishap
on the bars and a step on her dismount from the beam, Chayse finished the competition in the top 10 for the day! She and the rest of her regional team
secured a team third for their age group and and a first place for the super team! Way to go Chayse and Region 3!

With each new competition, Chayse polishes her skills on her road to the JO Nationals and the Metroplex Challenge was no different. Performing on
the raised platforms in the Fort Worth Convention center arena, Chayse executed each routine with the confidence of a seasoned athlete accumulating
two individual golds (bars and beam), an individual silver (vault) and the all-around championship with her 38.050! Chayse will have a couple of weeks
before travelling south again to Houston for the HNI and her last meet before the State Championships.

The return of the Kurt Thomas Invitational after a year hiatus proved to be quite advantageous for Chayse who competed Saturday night against a wide
field of competitors. With only a misstep on the landing of an otherwise beautiful bar routine, Chayse began the night ready to raise the level of
competition for everyone else. She finished the night with one gold, two silvers and a bronze which secured her a silver in the all around and an
opportunity to participate the next afternoon in the finals competition.
Only the top 5 in each age group for levels 8 through 10 moved on to the finals to compete against each other regardless of age groups or levels.
60 of the best athletes from the previous day's competition went head to head on each of the four events where Chayse once again came to dominate
the day with three of the top individual scores, including a 10.0 on the beam and the gold in the all around!
Congratulations Chayse! ... and good luck next weekend at the Metroplex Challenge.

Chayse made the journey south on IH35 to the great city of San Antonio to compete in the annual Alamo Classic to defend her title from the preceding
season and she did not dissappoint! Chayse showed her characteristic high level of energy on all four events and with the exception of too much
adrenaline on her final floor pass executed outstanding routines on all four events capturing 3 individual gold and the All Around title for a second
straight year!
Chayse once again qualified to compete in two events the following night at the Fiesta Jam Finals that show cased the best of
all the athletes over the two day competition where Chayse once again demonstrated her artistry and flair on both the bars and the beam!
But there is no resting on yesterdays accomplishments, another meet is just around the corner at the Kurt Thomas Invitational in just two weeks!
